Chalet Ritord invites guests to a cosy and relaxing retreat, ideal for sharing precious moments in the unspoilt setting of the Vanoise National Park.
Nestled at 1,400 metres above sea level, at the crossroads of the Glière and Chavière valleys, Pralognan charms visitors with its peaceful and authentic atmosphere. This resort mainly attracts nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, thanks to its proximity to France’s very first national park.
In winter, Pralognan offers 26km of ski slopes across 24 runs, suitable for all levels, as well as many options for non-skiers.
After a day in the fresh air, unwind in the soothing warmth of Chalet Ritord’s outdoor sauna, a true invitation to relaxation.
Larger groups: Groups of up to 17 guests can book Chalet Ritord together with the neighbouring Chalet Rongbuk, which sleeps 8 (max 6 adults).
About the property…
With four bedrooms, two shower rooms and an outdoor sauna, Chalet Ritord is a charming 4 stars two-storey retreat for nine guests (max six adults), offering the perfect base from which to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Vanoise Massif.
The entrance hall leads to three double bedrooms and a room for three children. These rooms are served by a shower room with toilet, a second bathroom with shower, bath, two washbasins and a toilet, as well as a separate toilet.
A useful ski room, equipped with a sink and heated boot dryers, is the perfect place to leave your outdoor gear after a day on the slopes. There’s also a washing machine and dryer in the hall.
A delightful open-plan living area is arranged under the eaves of the chalet. The lounge area has an L-shaped sofa in front of the TV and wood-burning stove. The fully equipped kitchen, featuring a central island, overlooks a large dining table where you can all eat together. From here, doors open onto a furnished balcony, complete with a dining corner and a cosy seating area perfect for enjoying the panoramic mountain views.
In the garden, the barrel sauna is the place to relax and recharge after a busy day, surrounded by the tranquil peaks.
There are two parking spaces – one in the garage and another outside.

Pralognan-la-Vanoise is a charming mountain village in the heart of the Vanoise National Park, just a 30-minute drive from the 3 Vallées. Surrounded by majestic peaks and glistening glaciers, it offers a pristine natural setting that enchants visitors seeking peace, nature and outdoor adventure. Its friendly atmosphere, traditional wooden chalets and small independent shops make it a welcoming destination with a focus on authenticity and Alpine tradition.
In winter, Pralognan offers 26km of ski slopes across 24 runs, suitable for all levels, and a shuttle bus can take skiers to the 3 Vallées. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy an additional 26km of groomed trails winding through the national park. We are a family of four – Maud, Thomas, Érine, and Aksel – living in Annecy-le-Vieux, on the shores of Lake Annecy.
We are passionate about the mountains and nature, and were looking for an authentic place to gather as a family and enjoy the great outdoors. That dream led us to create this comfortable and welcoming chalet, designed to make the most of everything Pralognan-la-Vanoise has to offer, in both summer and winter.
Its name comes from the nearby Ritord alpine pasture, in a beautifully unspoiled valley that’s well worth discovering in the summer.
This is a place created for well-being, connection, and relaxation after a wonderful day in the mountains. We’ll be delighted to welcome you here and share with you this little corner of paradise that we love so much.
